0W-30 is fine for all weather use. A 30 at operating temperature is certainly not too light--at least I hope not, since I've been running it in all my cars ever since it came out.
Interesting, if someone is making AMSOIL available for $4 a quart, since dealer cost and freight add up to more than than in US$.
My son-in-law used AMSOIL 10W-30 in his 86 Saab 900Turbo. After he helped himself to a load of the new 0W-30 (some years back), he called to tell me he had gained a consistent 50-75 miles per tankful of gas.
