My 96 850 has only 59000 highway miles. I'm a real careful driver and have elicited many complaints that I drive like an old lady. I avoid potholes and slow down to 10 feet per second going over railroad tracks.The steering is OK, the tire wear is normal. IN 35 years I've never had any suspension probs on any car I've driven(Honda,VW,Toyota).
I made the fatal error of bringing in my car to the local scumbag Volvo dealer for a timing belt change and state inspection(big stupid mistake). He tells me that I need a new ball joint. I'm naturally paranoid and think he's a crook. What were your symptoms? To me it is just unbelievable that my ball joint is worn out. That happans to teen punks with backwards baseball caps, not moi!!!
