I have fluffy white stuff all over the non-ferrous exposed metal in my car. I believe the actual 850-SVC70 body structure is mostly galvanized. I've yet to see one with body rust.

I agree $11.4 + evaporator + helicoil + upper engine mount doesn't seem too bad, I'm looking for a Volvo for my kid, I'd look at that one myself if it wasn't in the opposite corner of the country!

The used market seems to have generally gone south with the recession. There are some very nice prices out there on ex-lease Volvos ... my volvo dealer has a '98 GLT with 27k and a 100k warranty for 20k .... pricey, but that's awfully low mileage and a 73k still to go on the warranty.
