hard shift into reverse on my 850 850 1994

I don't have any suggestions other than to note that our
95 has always made a metallic, hollow sounding, clunk when
shifted into reverse. We keep it in a garage and I always
assumed the garage walls made it easier to hear (I hear a lot
of engine noises, etc. when in the garage that I never hear
outdoors).
