Volume on stereo increase by itself S70 1998

I noticed on 2 occasions that the stereo volume increased significantly by itself while I was playing a CD (CD changer in glovebox). The first time it happened was a month ago and yesterday it happened again. I believe the volume on the head unit slightly adjust itself when increasing driving speed but I was at a constant speed of about 40 mph when it happened. What's wrong?
