HR,

I had a similar experience when I tried to take a 15mph hairpin at 40mph.

The car slid out, ran over a the rock border and jumped back on the road. It sounded like an explosion. But, what a rush!!!

Anyway, the only damage was a bent sub-frame. No problems after replacement.
