Difficulty Starting up---Still 850 1994

I'm still having this problem and my mechanic can't seem to pinpoint the cause. The car would have trouble starting, I can hear the starting cranking away but the engine doesn't fire up. I would have to try 3-4 times then the car would start up but the "Flashing Arrow" would appear. The car would drive fine even with the arrow flashing. Of course when I take the car in to the mechanic the car starts up fine, and the arrow stop flashing. The PNP switch had been replaced, the microswitch had also been replaced. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
