What about an SC-815 head unit? It (and the SC816) have a built-in single CD player built-in. Or, is this what you're trying to avoid? I'm not aware of a single, stand-alone CD player by Volvo, although there are many on the aftermarket [crutchfield.com] that may work in the double-din opening in your 850.
