S40 Oil Pan Hard Plastic? S40-V40 2003

Hi and thanks for the note. As I said at the beginning of the post, my garage is too cramped to allow me to 'comfortably' get under the car to effect even something as basic as engine oil and filter change. Having done them since I first started driving 1970 I have done at least a hundred on MG, VW, Studebaker, Porsche (ah yes, a classic 911 with its oil tank and the 11-12 quarts of hot oil coming out keeps you on your toes...), Triumph, and three Volvos, a 940, S90 and my present S40 which I like a lot, hence my consulting the Brickboard when I have a question. I have not yet come to a resolution to post, but when I have i will post it.

The Jiffy Lubes and the like may have qualified people, maybe not.

Regards, DougW
