steering angle sensor XC90 2007

Hi Stonybrook,

What happened with your previous post ?
https://www.brickboard.com/AWD/volvo/1688003/XC90/xc90_2008_sway_bar_bushings.html
Would you be kind enough to post a resolution to improve the site?
It's disheartening to search for a resolution to a problem only to find a series
of unanswered threads.

Regarding your current post:
I'm not up to speed with your car but wonder about the level and condition of your transmission fluid?
Generally you get maybe 30,000 miles and need to flush with new Full synthetic.
Avoid power flushes at garages, see the Brickboard FAQ.

Also when changing sensors, the connectors need inspection, cleaning, and
lube with either dielectric silicone or Penetrox-A which is good long term to
deter electrolysis and the resultant corrosion due to dis-similar metals.
Give the harness connectors a good look, they can get worn or damaged and may be
the cause of some intermittent issues with engine management.

Don't ever use solvents to clean connectors, some connectors such as bullet
connectors can be damaged/ruined with strong solvents.
Use instead Isopropyl alcohol a toothbrush and blow out with compressed air.

Please post back with what you did to solve your issue.

Good lusk, Bill
