Thinking of upgrading halogen bulb to a LED Bulb for better lighting: Any suggestions? 850 1999

Hello All,

A friend recently upgraded the halogen bulbs (in the front headlights) on his 1999 V70 AWD XC wagon and I was impressed by the significant improvement in the light emitted by the low beams headlights, in comparison to the stock halogen bulbs (H7) that came with the XC.

My question to all is: Has anyone else upgraded the halogen headlight bulbs on their 850 to an LED bulb? What was your experience? Any downside to the upgrade? How much do these LED bulbs cost? Can anyone recommend a particular LED brand to use on the 850 model? Thank you in advance to all who respond.
