Best i can tell he was backing up and turning, misjudged and wacked the fender in just behind the bumper as he swung into a TREE. I bet he shifted the subframe based on bad camber of possibly opposite angles left vs right.
It took me many years to notice the tire wear as I don't drive much. Hood still opens and a extra big door gap, but a new camber showed up.
Camber can be fixed by some off set bolts for the struts. Holes in struts might have to enlarged. I saw some volvo part numbers to adjust camber but i think they are no longer available as I probably did a search 5 years ago. Moog makes some kits for this, some youtube videos say Moog may not have the highest quality parts anymore. I think at one time they made decent quality.
So I'm just fishing for a tip here. Sometimes a tip can get me off of my boat of indecision which can paralyze me from making a repair.
I guess if i knew of a good shop i could have them start by removing the bolts for the subframe, try new bolts, try to shift the subframe. If not maybe 5% of the alignment shops around might deal with camber. Most i think just do toe , camber and caster are off limits.
I wonder what parts would be the first to bend in such a crash. I have replaced most components as they just wore out. I even replaced the strut on that side as it looked bent, it was just an illusion.
