My wife's bulging disc isn't loving the low profile on our rough roads. A bit of a higher side wall on a good tire would give more cushion to the ride.
Apparently the 2016 standard tire was a 17 inch and 18 inch was an option. SO whoever ordered my car new also ordered the optional 18 inch.
Aside from the Cross Country having a higher road to body height (about 2 inches) the cross country is the twin of the other V60 cars. I am not sure why the standard tire on the cross country is 235/50/18 but the optional 18 inch on a non cross country is 235/40/18.
I just bought brand new tires and to go out and buy new rims and tires would make my wallet cry. If I ever come across a good deal on wheels in a bones yard, maybe I'll buy them.
