We just bought an S60 with 4 cyl E-drive. They advertise 36 mpg highway. At 75-80 with two people and a healthy load of "stuff" we got 32 mpg highway. Not much better than our old S80 2.5T(28-29 mpg) or V70 2.4NA(29-30 mpg) at the same speed. Maybe if we drove slower.... Also the new one has wider tires and I'm sure they're not inflated to the psi that I would normally run, like 38-40. If I put more air in them I'm sure the TPS would have a cow.
