Just thought I would pass along my experience with torque rod bushing replaement. About a year ago I replaced the torque rod bushing on 96 850 wagon as the original was in pieces. Having read on this board and others about them not lasting long so I thought I would go with 2 piece urothane that would last forever. Well for along time I noticed there was a lot of harshness and vibration when at idle and acceleration. Figured it was probably due to the urothane, especially since the hole was not fully aligned with bracket hole and had to rock engine slightly putting more load on bushing. Well I finally replaced the bushing with a rubber one from Lemforder and the difference is unbelievable, completely different car. It may not last as long but they are easy to change and much more comfortable ride. Best $9 I ever spent!
