If it is the pump, should be a fairly straightforward job. I'm assuming the pump is in the same location in front of the gas tank as on my 850. If so, it is pretty accessible.

Volvo pumps are very robust. Running for over 300k miles isn't unusual. Have you tested for spark? Also check all wiring, fuses etc. Hopefully it isn't the pump. A Bosch replacement pump isn't cheap...
