I found a reliable/honest transmission repair (yes, those two words don't appear together very often) shop in Washington DC metro area that I can now highly recommend. They actually REPLACED my old solenoids quickly and reasonably and didn't even attempt to sell me a rebuilt. I found a leaking hose after the car was back home and they even sent out a flatbed GRATIS to pick up the car again. SUBURBAN TRANSMISSION, LAUREL MD. check out their educational website too.
