Tires

I use Kumho Ectsa 205/45/17s on my 850 R - they're pretty good budget tyres and have provided about 10K miles so far with some tread left, which isn't bad for the R model.

Grip has been fine in wet and dry, though I'm about to change over to Michelin Pilots (at double the price!) so I'll see if they provide much better roadholding or wear - I certainly hope so.

If you're not too happy with your Pirellis, you certainly won't be moving to "poverty spec" by fitting the Kumhos, though make sure you get directional tread patterns for best wet grip.
