Replacing TCU V70-XC70 2000

What an ugly story!

Was the car running OK before all this hassle? Did it mess up after some major
job such as a tranny replacement? That might help find the rat in the woodpile.

Maybe the problem is some bad connector, a bent pin, a pinched wire in the harness. From all the agony you are documenting, simple replacement of parts is not finding the problem. Maybe you need a new tech that can check out the wiring
for those sensors and the connections to the TCM etc?
It sounds like some connection with the sensors has gone "Open".
You could do it yourself with the Wiring diagram and a multimeter.
