If you get OEM, which you should as they fail in the open position, a dealer will give you a 90 degree. Either 87 or 90 will produce the same results without harming the engine. Both will be open within 1/2 mile of driving at 0F to give you cabin heat.

Verify that the coolant is correct for the engine, either Volvo or G6 (?). If you drain using the radiator, remember it is plastic and cannot be over torqued!!
