The modern blades do help, but the 850 has always had this problem. The blade lifts about 1/4 inch up during the last couple of inches of travel. This is completely solved by filing/grinding the base of the wiper arm to allow more flexibility. The alternative is to bend the lower wiper arm down, putting more pressure on the blade/windshield, but this needs to be done annually.
Early 850's were known to have the screw holding the wiper arm come loose on the driver's side as well. A little frustrating when visibility gets close to zero for the driver, and no 13mm wrench handy.
