I got a Nokia hands-free kit installed in my S80, but the Nokia install people wanted to route the antenna through a pillar, near the side window impact airbags, and the Volvo dealer said that's a bad idea.
So now I have the antenna neatly tucked inside the car, invisible, but the reception stinks, and is worse than holding the phone.
The Volvo guy said that he could route the wire for me under the carpet and then up the rear pillar, outside the actual rear pillar covering/molding and it would take around 2-3 hours to do it, at $65/hour.
What are other people doing for cell phones? Any suggestions for me?
I was also thinking that maybe they could put it under the rear seat, which seems to have a lot of spare room (try lifting it - it gives), and it not near a lot of metal so maybe the reception would be better there?
