Display failure S80 99

Last week the lower right segments of all the digits of the trip and odometer display suddenly became dimmed. That happened to just that one segment of each digit. I continued driving and after one hour the dimmed segments brightened up and all the digits were equally bright again.

Strange. A bad contact?
