Usually you can track them down simply by listening when the engine is running. They will be more pronounced when the engine is under load, ie with the trans in gear, brake held TIGHTLY, and then applying throttle. Always best to stand BESIDE the engine compartment vs in front of the car when doing this, and the person in the drivers seat has to be someone you really trust. Preferably not a beneficiary on your life insurance policy :)
