On our later V70 I think the plastic piece under the crank pulley is held on with (2) 10mm headed bolts. I have never removed the crankshaft pulley and just twisted the belt to get it in position. If your's is not the same, there is probably a reason they changed it. But that does not make sense since 'they' are not engineering cars to make them easier to work on...
