With enough $$$ anything is possible.. How fast can you afford to go?
But to go from an LPT to a HPT you would also need to lower the compression. Might be possible by using a thicker head-gasket or you need to install different pistons to lower the compression. Then you probably also need an ECU from an HPT car (with the right fuel/boost/ignition mappings) and the turbo from a HPT engine (or get the current one upgraded to HPT specs)
There may be other (more subtle) differences between the engine construction such as connecting rods and/or crankshaft, but that would require some research to find out.
Then there's the gear-ratios of your current transmission, which may also be different from a standard HPT car.
All in all it's usually a lot cheaper to simply trade in your car for a similar milage HPT version..
Bye, Arno.
