I was looking into getting a new key fob for my 2003 V70. My understanding is that you have to purchase a new key/fob PLUS let dealer have both the car and the new key to get it all programmed and sync'd up. At the one dealer I tried it was going to be close to $200 by the time it was all said and done.

If you have a good Volvo independent mechanic that has the necessary programming tools, you may get off a bit cheaper.
