"Chirping' in Engine Compartment XC90 2004

Check your belts, roller bearings will make a continious noise. I suspect the S belt where the belt is seamed together. As the belt warms up it will become more flexable and stop chirping.

Take off the shroud to the T belt before you start the cold engine. With a flashlight shining on the belt (one at a time), you should be able to see the seam or the writing on the outside of the belt and time the chirp to the proper belt.
