Consider yourself doubly blessed, you have a diesel and a clutch. Americans are allowed neither.
It is possible that a cold engine is getting too much fuel and slightly flooding it at low rpms. If this is still the case after 2Km or so, then I would check the air supply (filter), as it only takes a couple of minutes to bring the head to operating temperature.
You still need to check the vacuum lines for any cracking, the car is 8-9 years old. A poor vacuum will result in too much fuel being injected. Follow the fuel lines to the pressure regulator and verify the vacuum lines are in good shape.
