won't idle S40-V40

Changed the spark plugs on 2001 s40.When I started it up it wouldn't idle.Would run fine above idle.WOULD STALL WHEN I let off the gas.Everything was hooked up correct.Any one have a suggestion what the problem is?I put a scanner on it and no codes came up
