Proper temp gauge reading? V70-XC70 1999

I haven't seen an OBDII reader display temps. The actual temp display should always be at the 1/2 mark, never lower or higher. If the thermostat is open all of the time, as you drive down the road the temp should get lower and then raise to the 'normal' zone when you stop and idle. The fan will keep it from overheating.

Replace the thermostat with OEM and you will get better gas mileage as well. Plus, the cabin will warm up sooner.
