Odd Electrical issue (no start) S70 2000

NO ecu pending codes or active ones...even after running for a long time
there is however a module communication code in the abs but the light is not on.
What are my options for another ecu? i presume my keys are programmed to this one so dealer only?
would hate to junk this car as the ecu from the dealer is north of 1.5k
