O.K., gentlemen, my first check engine light in my one year of owning my 1998 S70. I am missing my old '95 850 already as I will assume that I will need an OBD II reader or I can't pull any codes. Is this correct?

Since I don't own a reader yet, what is my best option in the short term to find out why this light came on? Would my local Indy mechanic be able to pull the code(s)?
