If you do not put your foot on the brake when you push the start button and the 'key' in your pocket, the response should be position I. The next push of the start button should get you posII, third push should turn the 'key' to off.

Perhaps in Montreal you finally got 100% gasoline and not E10 like the rest of the USA??
