hello,
1994 850 NA. i removed the flame trap and replaced hoses for PCV system a while ago and still have excessive crankcase pressure (smoke blowing out dipstick tube when dipstick is removed, some oil on top of engine, distributor side).
then i removed the TB and unclogged the little hole in the intake where the EGR valve is. i did not remove the EGR valve because that little bolt in the back was too hard to get at (and it was getting dark!) with that now unclogged, put everything back together and something's not right. takes an extra crank or two to start and seems to be running a little rough now. there is still excessive crankcase pressure as well.
i am 99% sure that i put everything back together. any ideas? i read that that hole above the EGR is the biggest culprit for excessive crankcase pressure. should i bite the bullet and try to get the EGR valve off? by unclogging the hole without removing the EGR is it possible that i made things worse?
thanks!
