radio/cd player V70-XC70 98

My radio/cd player was working fine until this latest cold spell. Now in the mornings, it will click a few times and spit the cd back out. I drive to the dealer and show them and it works. (Just like all problems) This morning, I drove to the dealer without using the heat, thankgoodness for heated seats. They were able to reproduce the problem. They suggested that the gel the cd spins on freezes and once the interior warms up, everything is fine. They even said one of their machanics has the same problem. Does this sound like an exceptable answer? I live in southern VA. What do folks up north experience?
