Martin, some time ago there was a long thread about the fact that many brick owners were not able to use the remotes unless they were very close to the car. So... when you finally latch onto the missing equipment, here's a tip. In stead of pointing the remote while pressing the buttons that are now facing up, hold the remote pointing up while aiming the "back" (the side that has the battery opening) toward the car. Aparently the transmitter faces that way and I can open my 96 from a distance of 50' or more. If the units are all made the same (hmmmmm) this should work for you to.
