Mud flap/diff between 2000 & 2001.... S40-V40 2000

I put on a set of mud flaps on my 2000 S40 when I got the car....they are very small and don't help much! Now, I see that the 2001 mud flaps are significantly larger!!!! Any thoughts on whether they will fit on the 2000....thanks in advance, Bill
