As is described in your owners manual: drive off at a gentle pace as soon as possible and do not let it idle for a prolonged period.
I think the owners manual uses even stronger words and warns about engine damage when letting it idle under cold conditions.
When it gets below freezing I usually start the car when I get in, then install the stuff I need to (radio front, mobile phone in hands-free set, remove coat) and drive off. So it will idle for about 30 secs to 1 minute at the most, just to get the oil going around the engine a bit.
