It is such a different car! Here are some observations:
1. It hold 9 quarts of oil with the filter changed!
2. The oil filter is accessed from the top and takes a 36mm socket. You have
to move the power steering resevoir to get it out.
3. The 3.2L oil filter is not the same as my 2001. It is much larger. I had
11 on hand for it and my son-in-law's 2003 S60. I traded three at the
dealer. Of course, they were $5 more.
4. The air filter is easier to get in the box. It is secured by 4 torx screws
instead of the hinge/clamps on the 2001.
5. The passenger compartment air filter is in the same area, but a very
different place, inline over the tunnel. The door comes off with no screws,
but you have to contort the old and new filters to make the change.
6. Even though there is a serpentine belt diagram on the front firewall, I have
yet to spot it. The A/C compressor appears to be gear driven and is on the
other end of the engine from the 2001.
We really like it so far. We think it really looks good with the Georgia Tech tag on the front.
