Sorry for the confusion - I was responding to the previous message from Prospero who was comparing Hondas unfavorably with Volvos and being generally negative about Japanese vehicles. I referred to Acura etc., being the upscale lines of Honda etc., as being the price segment counterparts of Volvo. Volvo is competing with the upscale marque of Japanese manufacturers not the lower priced Accords and Camrys. It is no consolation to a Volvo owner who has paid perhaps twice the cost of a Honda, to claim that his or her car is superior to the Honda. It had better be! Vehicles such as the MDX are built in North America and designed for our market, not for the Japanese market as implied by Prospero. I think it should be possible to evaluate the value of Volvo products without making unfounded blanket statements about their competitors.
Now, why would you get satifaction from smoking a Honda? Pick something your own size (and price)!
