Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information 3–2–2
Condition
Note! (Group II only I)Control Module .
The control module calculates the ratio between the transmission input rpm and the car speed. There is a specific ratio for each gear. If the TCM registers a ratio deviation of more than 10%, the DTC 3–2–2 is set.
Substitute value
Substitution value
Possible source
-Interference with or signal errors on the signal from the transmission rpm sensor
-Interference with or signal errors on the signal from the vehicle speed VS signal from the combined instrument
-Contact resistance in the Solenoid S1 or S2 circuit.
-Gear position sensor incorrectly adjusted
-Malfunction in gear position sensor
-Transmission oil level too low.
-Mechanical fault in the transmission. Worn componenents in the transmission causing slippage or reduced system pressure.
Fault symptom[s]
-Poor performance due to the transmission operating only in 4th gear
-A noise or some obvious mechanical fault is the most common indication of a mechanical fault in the transmission.
