Some thoughts on heater core replacemnt (S/V 70) V70-XC70 1999

I seriously doubt your core would leak without pressure, otherwise you would have a blown engine and a gallon of coolant under the gas pedal.

Yes, there is a screw holding the pipes to the core and it is not fun to reach. Nor is it fun lying on the floor of the car for an hour. But a job well done at home beats paying a mechanic everytime.

To others who read this, use a plastic bag to catch any coolant and newspapers make the best sponge.
