Window Switch C70 2002

The window switch on my 02 C70 doesn't work. The master switch will work the window. I called a local Volvo repair shop who keeps used parts and he insist it is the master switch even thorough he's not even seen my car. He said the only one that ever goes out is the master switch. However my master switch works fine. Only the one on the passenger side doesn't work. Seems logical to me that is that one but how can I be sure it's the passenger side switch and not the master switch?
