Struts and control arms DIY Q? V70-XC70

are you saying that the control arm or strut job requires CV shaft removal on the P2 cars? I was not aware of this. This is not a requirement on the P1 cars. I didn't think the front suspension setup was that different on the P2s but maybe you know something I don't.

On the P1 cars, the strut can be replaced without removing the CV shaft, as can the control arm. You can't do them both at the same time though. I would do the control arm first, then put it back on and do the strut. You can't let the wheel hub hang free at the end of the shaft - you'll damage the CV joint.
