'98 S70 T5 no start - P0340 S70

Hello,

About 2 months ago, on a rainy day, the car wouldn't start. Have no clue why. Was visiting parents, so the car stayed there. Didn't actually need it, so it has stayed until now.

The battery was dead and wouldn't hold a charge, so I got a new one. When I went to try to start it, it started very roughly and died after about 10 seconds. After that, it refused to start. The starter goes, but nothing else happens.

I did pull a P0340 from the car, so I check the camshaft sensor connection.

Pin 1 - 12 V
Pin 2 - 12 V
Pin 3 - 3 ohm

According to Chilton, Pin 2 should be 5V and Pin 3 should be 0 ohm. So it says I need to "repair the circuit."

Problem being, I have no clue how I would do that. Is there any advice you could give me? Is there anyway to be sure that the camshaft sensor itself is not the problem?

If there's any important info I left out, please let me know.

Thank you in advance!

EDIT: also, I'm worried about the tires having problems because the car isn't being moved...when does this become a problem, if it hasn't already?
