A mount would have caused a clunk while cold. Just watching the engine while someone else shifts will show a lot of movement.
Check the tranny fluid for redness. A scanner can pick up most tranny codes, but not if the transmission code is at fault. That requires a dealer download, about $100. There have been known problems in earlier models with the tranny releasing the torque converter, or not releasing, while the car is stopped.
If you buy this car I suggest the first thing on the list is a tranny flush.
