Re: Potential Starting Problems. S40-V40 2000

Hi All,

I also have the same start up problem in addition to the check engine light going on. The weather doesn't seem to have any bearing because it has occurred a few times on a sunny day. I brought the car to the dealership for the check engine light and the problem was traced to the camshaft reset valve. I have no idea what that part does but was told it does affect the car when starting up. This is actually the second time that particular part was replaced. I'm not sure if this is an isolated case, but I hope this info helps. If anyone else has brought their car to the dealership, please give me some insight. Its frustrating to go to the dealership and be told that its the same stupid part being replaced.

Thanks,

Patty
