front end noise S70 1998

The strut bearings (the plate with the 3 studs & the large bearing) seemed fine. The bearings rotated fine and didn't have any play to then at all.

The struts (at least pass side) retracted under its own weight. On another post I saw that I should not be able to push the rod in by hand. In my case, it slid in on its own.

Wish I had given this more thought at the time. But I didn't have a replacement at the time anyway.

I'm guessing these struts are definitely shot!
