Battle Creek, MI is not that small! PePboys, Advance auto, can check codes for you and that includes ABS. SRS is Volvo only.

Your ABS system controls traction control also, which your car does have. You could just send your ABS module out for a "fix" or re-solder it yourself. Look around for the best prices, but Victor does a very good job.
